Another Sylvia Original (ASO). She hand painted tees and sold them to stores around the country with a friend Anita for four years. Then she opened Unique fashion Gallery in San Diego which housed 7 artist and designers under one roof. Sylvia and her children later moved to Los Angeles for her daughter Giovonnie Samuels to pursue an acting career. Her first job was on Nickelodeons "All That". The name Gbaby came from her daughters' nick name on the set of "All That". It was on the set where Sylvia started painting the first Gbaby handbags. Giovonnie wanted a handbag with a woman of color. After an endless search Sylvia decided to buy a bag and paint a woman of color on it, that is how Gbaby was born.
